Hibbert takes double wins at Ram Trucks Snocross National in Michigan

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck’s Tucker Hibbert took double wins at the Ram Trucks Snocross National in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. to continue his win streak on the ISOC National Snocross tour. Hibbert is now 10-for-12 in the Pro Open class this season and holds a 102-point lead in the 2016 championship chase.

Hibbert was in top form Friday night winning both his qualifying rounds and the final.

After poor starts in both his qualifying rounds Saturday night, Hibbert had a hard time moving through the field to take a pair of fourth place finishes. The defending champion admitted to struggling in the sloppy, slippery snow and not feeling comfortable taking chances while getting blasted by heavy, wet snow roost. He knew getting a solid start could make or break his run for the win in the final.

In the 15-rider, 18-lap final, Hibbert launched off the start line only to miss grabbing the Stud Boy Holeshot by inches. Hanging close behind frontrunner #54 Petter Narsa in the opening laps, he searched for a line to make the pass. On lap five, Hibbert got a fast run on outside of the downhill rhythm section, snuck to the inside of Narsa at the bottom corner of the hill to make the pass. Once out front, Hibbert went unchallenged to complete the weekend sweep.

Next up for Hibbert is the penultimate event of the season. For the second consecutive year, Route 66 Raceway, right outside of Chicago, will transform its famed drag strip into a snocross course. For more information on the event, visit route66raceway.com.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“The track and snow was pretty good on Friday but on Saturday with it warming up, the snow got real slippery and unpredictable for racing. It was tough to be consistent and get traction. The roost was really bad.”

“On Saturday, I struggled through qualifying with my starts and dealing with roost from other riders. I was really focused on my start in the final. I picked what I thought would be the best spot to get the holeshot and it worked out pretty well. I was trying to get into the lead as soon as possible. I didn’t want to wait any longer than I had to. I was getting roosted really bad so I knew I had to get out front to get clear vision.”

“I feel really good. With all the wins and big points lead it takes pressure off for the last two races of the season. I’m focused on finishing the series strong, rack up more wins and get the championship.”

Hibbert continues win streak at Eastern Snocross National

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck’s Tucker Hibbert continued his win streak in New York by sweeping rounds nine and 10 of the ISOC National Snocross tour. Hibbert pulled the holeshot nearly every time he hit the track to win all four of his qualifying rounds and both Pro Open finals.

Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino featured a high speed, technical track and with warm temperatures throughout the weekend, snow conditions constantly changed. Hibbert adapted quickly to each condition and put down blistering fast laps both nights. His most impressive run came in Saturday’s 18-lap Pro Open final where he opened a five-second lead over second place by lap five and went on to lap up to fourth place before taking the win.

Hibbert now holds a 90-point lead in the 2016 championship title chase. The ISOC National Snocross tour will take a two-weekend break before hitting the final three events of the season. For more information on Hibbert’s schedule, visit tucker-hibbert.com.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“I really couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. This is the second national in a row we [the team] have been able to sweep qualifying and the finals. These weekends don’t come easy, especially now with the inverted start. Even with bad start line picks in my qualifying rounds and finals, I was able to pull almost every holeshot. That’s a testament to how good the guys have my sled dialed-in right now.”

“The track changed a lot throughout the weekend. The snow went from slippery to mealy to icy. It was tricky and really kept you on your toes. There were a lot of crashes throughout the weekend. It just wasn’t a track you could take chances on. I’m thankful I got good starts so I didn’t have to push past my comfort zone to get to the front.”

“Every year in New York, I’m blown away by how passionate the fans are. You don’t see that at any other event of the year. It’s fun to race in that kind of environment.”

“We’re deep into the season and I feel like before we know it, we’ll be at Lake Geneva. It feels good to have a good points lead I but try not to focus on points too much. With so many points on the line each weekend, you have to stay focused and not get ahead of yourself.”

Hibbert flawless at X Games Aspen to win ninth consecutive gold medal

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck’s Tucker Hibbert captured his ninth consecutive gold medal with a flawless performance at X Games Aspen 2016. The now 14-time X Games medalist took the holeshot and led every lap of both his qualifying race and the final Thursday evening at Buttermilk Mountain.

Hibbert immediately adapted to the 45-second track lined with icy turns and technical jumps turning the fastest lap in practice. With far inside start line picks in his qualifying round and the final, he pulled strong holeshots to get through the tight right first turn clean before heading into the uphill rhythm section.

In the 20-lap, 10-rider final, Hibbert focused on riding smart and smooth as the track began to break down and develop ice edges. He was never challenged for the lead to take the win by over 10 seconds.

With this gold medal, Hibbert is the first X Games winter athlete to win nine consecutive gold medals and now holds the most medals in a single discipline.

Next up for Hibbert is the fifth stop of the ISOC National Snocross tour in New York where he’s competing for his tenth Pro National Championship.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“I feel honored to win nine golds in-a-row. It’s an awesome experience to come to X Games, compete and have the success we [the team] have had. It feels great. All the hard work is paying off and it’s a lot of fun.”

“I didn’t have any expectations for the track. Every year it’s different so I don’t try to anticipate what it’s going to be. It’s definitely an advantage to be able to adapt and ride any kind of track and do it well. I think that’s a key to my success. With my experience and all the different conditions I’ve raced in, it’s an advantage for me.”

“We got in some really solid testing before X Games. Steve from Speedwerx worked hard with us to get our clutching setup for the holeshot and it showed.”

“I don’t have a master plan or big goal of winning a certain amount of medals. I want to keep racing as long as I’m competitive and am still enjoying it.”

Hibbert focused on gold medal nine-peat at X Games Aspen 2016

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck’s Tucker Hibbert is focused on winning his ninth consecutive Snocross gold medal at X Games Aspen 2016. Thursday evening, the 13-time medalist will take his 16th X Games Snocross start.

Hailing from Pelican Rapids, Minn., the 31-year-old is known for his methodical approach to racing and ability to adapt to any racecourse. Outside of his X Games accomplishments, he’s a two-time world champion, nine-time national champion and holds 114 pro national victories with a winning percentage of 59 percent. This winter, he’s 6-for-8 on the ISOC National Snocross tour and hot off double wins in South Dakota this past weekend.

X Games Aspen Snocross qualifying and final event will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and watchESPN.com Thursday 6-7:30 p.m. ET. For more information, visit xgames.com.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“It’s no secret that X Games is my favorite event of the year. It was my first pro race and a place I’ve always felt at home. There’s something different and special about X Games compared to any other snocross event.”

“I think I put more pressure on myself than anyone else. I work really hard to show up in Aspen ready to win. That’s the goal and I know we [the team] are capable of making that happen. We got in some really good testing earlier this month. Just when we think we have my sled set-up perfect, we find another way to make it better. That’s what I love the most about racing – the constant progression and drive to be better.”

“I never imagined I’d be in this position – going for my ninth gold in a row. No matter what happens on Thursday, I know we’ve done everything we can to be prepared to win.”

Hibbert on fire at Deadwood Shootout

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Trucks’ Tucker Hibbert was on fire at the ISOC National Snocross Deadwood Shootout in Deadwood, SD. The first time in his career, Hibbert won all four qualifying rounds and both final events at Days of ‘76 Rodeo Grounds.

In four years of racing on Deadwood’s sub 30-second bullring style track, Hibbert has put on some of the most impressive wins seen in the history of the sport. With the memory of his jaw dropping come-from-behind win en route to his 100th victory last winter, a sold out crowd packed into the rodeo grounds looking for another show.

Both Friday and Saturday night through qualifying and the finals, bad startline picks and poor starts didn’t faze Hibbert. To the delight of the sold-out crowd, no matter how rough the course got or intense the snow roost was, the nine-time champion battled his way to the front every time he hit the track.

Hibbert now has a 66-point lead in the 2016 ISOC National Snocross Pro Open Championship chase. Next up is X Games Aspen where he’ll compete for a record ninth consecutive gold medal. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and watchESPN.com Thursday, January 28 6-7:30 p.m. ET.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“This weekend was huge for me and my team. I knew we were in a good place coming into the event but it’s always challenging racing on a track like this. No matter what challenge was thrown at us this weekend, we found a way to get the job done. Even though I’m not a big fan of racing on this track, the fans make it worth it. They were crazy and kept me pushing all weekend. It feels so good to come out of Deadwood with the sweep and ready to battle at X Games this week.”

Hibbert sweeps Canterbury Park Snocross and extends points lead

Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck’s Tucker Hibbert swept rounds five and six of the ISOC National Snocross tour in Shakopee, Minn. The nine-time champion excelled on Canterbury Park’s long, technical track and relied on experience to extend his championship points lead.

Hibbert laid down impressive runs in his qualifying rounds and the final Friday night. Despite having to start from the far outside in the final due to ISOC’s new inversion rule, he ripped the Stud Boy holeshot and by lap four of 14, stretched out a six-second lead over second place. With two to go and a 13-second lead, he backed down his pace on the final lap to take the win.

Temperatures dropped below zero Saturday night leaving the course filled with ice edges and holes. Hibbert won his first qualifier but found out the hard way in round two how unpredictable the track was. A nasty crash near the end of the race forced him to run the last chance qualifier (LCQ) race. A win in the LCQ gave him the inside pick on the second row of the 15-rider, 14-lap final. With a clean start, he made passes early to finish lap one in fifth place and with the leader in sight. Staying patient, he moved into second place behind no. 53 Kody Kamm on lap 10. Three laps to go, Kamm crashed leaving the door open for Hibbert to complete the sweep.

Hibbert now has a 32-point lead in the 2015-2016 ISOC National Pro Open Championship points chase. He plans to utilize the weekend off in the ISOC tour to prepare for X Games Aspen where he’ll compete for his ninth consecutive gold medal. For more information on his race schedule, visit tucker-hibbert.com.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy / Arctic Cat / Ram Truck

“It feels really good to have a weekend like this. After Fargo, we [the team] really put our heads down. I didn’t feel like we were on the top of our game at the first two events of the season. I spent a lot of time riding and testing to get to where I knew I needed to be.”

“I felt awesome Friday night. The track really suited my riding style. It was the longest track we’ve had all season, technical and good for racing. Saturday was a different story. With the cold temps, track conditions changed big time. It was the kind of track that could bite you so you had to be patient. I found that out when I pushed too hard in my second qualifier and got sent to the LCQ. In the final, I was happy to be up with the top three guys after my back row start. I wasn’t comfortable with doing whatever it takes to get the lead. I knew I had to be cautious. I was pushing hard but wasn’t willing to push any harder.”

“The next two weeks our focus will be on preparing for X Games. This year will be different with racing at Deadwood before X Games but we’re ready. It’s going to be a fun!”
