September 5, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert recently announced his retirement from professional snocross, and now he’s releasing a limited edition merchandise collection that’s dedicated to the fans that helped make his racing career so incredible. The new Incredible Ride Collection features clothing and collectable items that commemorate Hibbert’s legendary career accomplishments and victories.

“Since I announced my retirement from snocross, I’ve been looking back on my career and thinking about what an incredible ride it’s been,” Hibbert said. “A lot of people played a role in my racing, including Team 68 fans. They cheered me on to many race wins, gold medals and championships. They’re a part of my racing history and I hope they’ll be excited about this new line-up I created for them.”

Hibbert’s Incredible Ride Collection includes an adult and youth t-shirt, ceramic mug, enamel pin, sticker pack and koozie. All items are limited edition and will not be reproduced.

August 7, 2018 – For the third year in a row, Tucker Hibbert’s Team 68 was honored for its fundraising efforts at Make-A-Wish^®Minnesota’s Walk for Wishes^® Twin Cities event. Despite cloudy skies and the threat of thunderstorms, nearly 100 people joined Hibbert Saturday morning at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis to take part in a 5K walk / run and support the wish granting mission of Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

“I’m blown away by how generous everyone has been and how awesome this year’s Walk for Wishes went,” Hibbert said. “Every year it keeps getting better and even with bad weather in the forecast, a lot of loyal people showed up to support Make-A-Wish Minnesota and have some fun. We had a good time together and raised a lot of money to help grant wishes.”

Team 68 recorded $12,534 in donations at this year’s Walk for Wishes. Since 2016, the team has raised nearly $34,000 to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

June 19, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert is continuing his efforts to raise money for Make-A-Wish^® Minnesota by leading a team at the 2018 Walk for Wishes^® Twin Cities event. For the third consecutive year, Hibbert is bringing together fans, friends and family to join Team 68 and help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

“Raising money for Make-A-Wish Minnesota through Walk for Wishes is really turning into a fun tradition for me and my fans,” Hibbert said. “After my first experience helping grant a wish through Make-A-Wish in 2015, I knew I wanted to get more involved with the organization. Walk for Wishes has provided me the opportunity to bring together people and raise money for a great cause. It’s been awesome to see how excited people are to get involved. The whole experience of building the team, getting ready for the event and the actual walk itself has definitely been a highlight of my year since we started doing this.”

Since 2016, Hibbert’s Team 68 has raised over $21,000 for Make-A-Wish Minnesota through the Walk for Wishes event.

May 16, 2018 – After 25 years of chasing checkered flags in snowmobile competition, Tucker Hibbert today announced that he’s reached the finish line of his remarkable racing career. The 33-year-old from Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, is now officially retired as a professional snocross racer.

“It’s time for me to retire from professional snocross racing,” Hibbert said. “It’s been a great career and now is the right time to move on. I’m healthy and happy. I’ve accomplished my goals, which were to do my best and enjoy the process of working hard with the people around me. We just finished a great season where I felt as good as I ever have and won my 11^th Championship.”

Reflecting on his career, he added, “I’ve dedicated a huge part of my life to racing snowmobiles. I’m thankful for the lessons and experiences that racing provided me over the years. It’s been an incredible ride.”

Hibbert leaves the sport as the most decorated racer in snocross history. He began racing snowmobiles as an amateur at age 8, won his first X Games gold medal at 15 and turned professional at age 16. In his 18 years as a professional snocross racer, Hibbert won 138 of the 235 Pro National events he entered in addition to 11 Pro Championship titles, 10 X Games gold medals and two World Championship titles.

Hibbert’s storied career is a testament to the talent, determination and hard work of his own as well as those who were integral to Team 68 over the years.

“Working hard, as a team, has been the most rewarding part of racing,” Hibbert said. “There are so many amazing people who have played a role in my career. I’ve been fortunate to work with some extremely talented, dedicated and all-around good people. I’ll cherish the memories we’ve all made together for the rest of my life.”

The team’s success was also the result of the support given by key sponsors. “I’m proud of the relationships we’ve built with the brands that have supported me,” he said. “Many of them were career long sponsors and that’s something I’m really thankful for.”

Hibbert also credits his fans, saying: “I’m blessed to have met a lot of great people through racing. Their energy and excitement helped push me to do my best. I truly thank all of them for their passion and support.”

Hibbert’s retirement from professional snocross is effective immediately. He is currently working on event opportunities at which he can personally thank his fans, sponsors and the snowmobile racing community for their contribution to his career.

March 20, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert closed out one of the most successful seasons of his career and took claim to his 11^th Professional Snocross Championship at the ISOC National Snocross season finale in Lake Geneva, Wisc.

In his 18^th professional snocross season, Hibbert had a remarkable run winning 11 of the 17 finals and 27 of his 34 qualifying races. With yearend championship points awarded in both qualifying rounds and finals, he set his season focus on winning every time he was on the track. It was a smart and successful strategy as he secured the championship early with a 108-point margin over second place.

Hibbert and his team were honored with two special awards at the yearend banquet. His father and crew chief, Kirk Hibbert, was awarded Mechanic of the Year while Tucker tallied the most votes by snocross fans to take home Fan Favorite Rider.

With another snocross season behind him, the multisport athlete will shift his focus to his summer passions – motocross and cross-country mountain bike racing.

“Lake Geneva is always super fun with the long track and up and down hills. It’s technical and challenging. It makes for good racing.”

“Racing at Lake Geneva this year was definitely a rollercoaster for me. I felt like I was riding better than I ever have and had really good speed. Some mistakes, especially the last two days, put a damper on my overall results.”

“I felt the best I have my whole career this season – fast and consistent with a rock-solid sled. We (the team) achieved our goal of winning the championship and I couldn’t be happier about that. March 12, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert put a stronghold on the 2018 ISOC National Snocross points championship with back-to-back dominant performances in Dubuque, Iowa. Winning both finals and three of the four qualifiers, Hibbert gained 39 points over second place throughout the weekend to extend his points lead to a whopping 100.

In its second year hosting the Iowa National, Sundown Mountain Resort featured a completely different style track than last year with a technical course stretched across the top of the ski hill. The 35-second track utilized sections of two downhill runs, giving the course elevation changes with big jumps, sweeping turns and off-camber corners.

Friday and Saturday night played out similar for Hibbert. Capitalizing on solid starts in the 18-lap, 15-rider finals, he took the early lead both nights. Masterful with his line choices, he moved all over the course looking for the fastest and smoothest lines. His strategy worked as he rode unchallenged to finish 11 seconds over second place both nights.

With 177 points on the line at the three-day season finale in Lake Geneva, Wisc. this weekend, Hibbert has the opportunity to clinch his 11^th Pro National title Friday night.

Friday night recap:

“Friday night was a great race for me. I won both my qualifying races so I was number one qualifier heading into the final. My pick put me way on the outside of the startline which was a good place to be as long as you got a good launch. It lined you up really nice for the first turn and up the hill. I got a really good jump off the line, my sled pulled hard and put me out front of the guys next to me and into second position. I charged hard on the first lap and was able to capitalize on a small mistake by Montana Jess and make the pass for the lead in the last turn on the first lap. I put the hammer down, focused on riding fast laps right away and ran my own race.”

Saturday night recap:

“In the final on Saturday, I was able to take an inside starting position that was left open by the other riders. I was really happy about that. It was a different place to be but it was good. I got a good jump off the line and went into the first turn side-by-side with Logan Christian. I was able to carry a little more momentum than Logan over the first couple jumps and took the lead just before the first downhill section. Saturday’s track was a lot rougher than Friday and more challenging, which was good for racing. I was glad to be out front early and find the lines I wanted to slowly pull away a build up a good lead. The track was really technical. I had to be careful not to make mistakes. It was fun to pick my lines and charge around the track.”

Thoughts going into final event of the season:

“I’m really excited about my weekend in Iowa to win both races and extend my points lead by a good amount. Getting ready for Lake Geneva, I’m motivated to finish the season strong. We’re in a really good position with the points championship. I’m confident in my riding and my sled. The goal is keep winning races and clinch the championship.”

Tucker Hibbert took a win Saturday night at the ISOC National Snocross tour’s Michigan National and with strong performances throughout the weekend, maintained his grip on the 2018 points championship.

With two days of heavy rainfall and warm temperatures in the Mt. Pleasant area prior to the event, the piles of snow made for the track were wet and heavy, resulting in a rough and challenging racecourse.

Hibbert went 2-1 in qualifying Friday night and after a mid-pack start in the 15-rider, 20-lap final, was in good position to move forward. Near the end of lap one, another rider got his ski into the back of Hibbert, leaving the two rider’s sleds stuck together. Hibbert broke free of the tangle seconds before the pack was coming around the track to lap him, keeping him on the lead lap. He charged hard through the field the rest of the race to secure a sixth place finish.

Saturday night, Hibbert went 4-1 in his qualifying rounds. With another mid-pack start in the 15-rider, 18-lap final, he focused on getting through the opening laps clean and into a position to fight for the win. Tapping into his skill to find lines on a deteriorating track, he moved through the field fast. On lap seven, he made the pass for second and had early race leader, Kody Kamm, in sight. He spent the following laps setting him up and with five to go, block passed Kamm in the corner before the finish line and went on to take his 135th career win.

“I was settling in the first lap, trying to make some passes, then another rider ran into the back of me and his ski got sucked up into my track. It instantly stopped me. Luckily, we were able to get the sleds apart right before the leaders came by so I didn’t get lapped. I was bummed I lost so much time but just had to put my head down and pass as many riders as I could.”

Saturday night recap:

“I didn’t get a very good jump off the start and got shuffled to mid-pack right away. I was focused getting through the opening laps clean. Fortunately, I was able to do that and settled into fourth place pretty quick. I could see Kamm up front and he was pulling away. I knew I had to make more passes quick to be able to catch him. Once I got into second, I tried to ride smooth and consistent but at the same time, I had to find new lines because the track was deteriorating so much and we were getting into lappers. I caught up to him pretty quick, rode behind him a few laps and figured out where I wanted to make the pass. I set him up in the turn before the finish line by carrying momentum through the backstretch, went wide into the corner and then cut inside to block pass him. It felt good to finish the weekend with a win.”

Approach to final two events of the season:

“My approach to the last two events is the same as it’s been all year – winning qualifying races and the main events. I feel good about the points lead but I am focused on keeping the hammer down and getting some more wins.”

February 19, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert extended his points lead in the ISOC National Snocross Championship at the Eastern National in Salamanca, NY. Hibbert was untouchable in qualifying and with points being awarded for qualifying rounds, he racked up valuable points despite going 13-2 in the final events.

In Friday night’s final, after winning both qualifiers, Hibbert lined-up on the far outside due to ISOC’s pro start rule which requires riders to take their pick in an inverted order based off their results earned in qualifying races. To avoid getting pushed off the track in the tight left first turn, he grabbed the brakes and slotted to the back of the 15-rider field. He made passes quick and on lap seven of 22, moved into seventh. Two laps later, he misjudged the speed and position of another rider and put himself in a line that caused him to get partially landed on. Hibbert was unharmed but the incident left his throttle cable broken. Unable to continue racing, he exited the track and was scored 13^th based on the number of laps he completed.

Saturday night, Hibbert was once again the number qualifier for the final event. Instead of starting on far outside of the front row, he opted to start from the back row with the goal of being in a safer position through the first turn. He got through the first turn clean then ran into a rider who was stopped at the top of the first jump, leaving him in last place. With minor damage to his right ski and a-arm, he charged forward. Lap eight of 22, he moved into eighth place. With a 14-second deficit to make up on the leader, he clicked off fast lap after fast lap and with two laps to go, passed Logan Christian for second place. Hibbert kept the pressure on to the end to finish 1.3 seconds behind race winner Kody Kamm.

Next up for Hibbert is the Michigan National this weekend in Mt. Pleasant. The 10-time champion now holds a 61-point lead in the 2018 points championship. For more information on Hibbert and his schedule, visit tucker-hibbert.com.

“The race didn’t go quite as planned after getting a bad start. It took me a few laps to get into a groove and make forward progress. Once I did that, I started feeling a lot better and charging towards the front. It fell apart about halfway through the race when I was trying to make a pass on a rider. I thought he went over the inside berm to the outside and at the last second I realized he was still on the inside berm and I had drove basically underneath him. At the last second, I saw and heard his sled and I was able to lean back and get my right hand off the handle bar before his track caught my bars. I was lucky to not get hurt but unfortunately the mistake took me out of the race with a broken throttle cable. I was definitely bummed to be sitting on the sidelines when I wanted to be charging to the front.”

Saturday night recap:

“We [the team] tried to figure out the best scenario for the starting line and the first turn to avoid getting taken out and improve our chance of a better start. We decided to go to the back row. I feel like it was right decision but unfortunately I got tangled with another rider right out of the first turn. It didn’t work out and I had to come from last place. I didn’t really get a good look at where Kamm was until I was in third place and had passed Logan for second. I was focused on not making mistakes and charging hard. I got real close. I was feeling like I could get the win, especially if Kamm made a mistake. I have won a lot of races like this in the past so I knew I could do it but came up a little short of getting it done.”

Overall thoughts on the weekend:

“I’m excited about the championship and where we’re at with that. Obviously extending the points lead each weekend is awesome and that’s a goal for us but, for me, winning races is where it’s at, so it’s a little frustrating. It’s unfortunate that it’s so challenging to race for final wins after winning all the qualifiers and being so fast. We’re staying focused on our season goals which are to win every time we’re on the track and to win the championship.”
